We believe the transition into residential care should feel as smooth and natural as possible. From the moment a new resident joins us, we work to understand their routines, their preferences, and the things that matter most to them, so that Royal Court feels like their home from day one.

Specialist Care
Dementia Care
Living with dementia presents unique challenges, and we understand that the right environment and the right approach make an enormous difference. Our specialist dementia care team is trained in the latest person-centred techniques, designed to support both cognitive and emotional well-being.
At Royal Court, we use life history work, familiar routines, and carefully designed spaces to help residents with dementia feel safe and oriented. We also maintain close communication with families, because we know that dementia affects the whole family, not just the individual.
Our dementia care includes:
- Specialist trained dementia care staff

- Sensory and memory activities
- Safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor spaces

Supported Living
Supported Living
Supported living at Royal Court is designed for individuals who value their independence but benefit from a structured level of support. This might include people with physical disabilities, those recovering from illness or surgery, or younger adults with complex needs.
Our supported living service is built around the individual's own goals. We work with residents, their families, and relevant health professionals to create a plan that promotes independence while providing the right level of assistance at the right time.
Supported living includes:
- Personalised support plans built around individual goals
- Mobility and physical assistance as required
- Help with daily tasks while promoting independence
- Social and community engagement support
- Access to therapy services (physio, OT on referral)
- Flexible care hours adapted to changing needs

Short-Term Stays
Respite Care
We know that caring for a loved one at home is a rewarding but demanding role. Respite care at Royal Court gives family carers the opportunity to rest, travel, or attend to their own needs, with the reassurance that their loved one is in experienced, caring hands.
Respite stays can range from a few days to several weeks, and are available subject to room availability. We ask for at least a short introductory visit so we can prepare appropriately for your loved one's arrival.

We get to know each resident as a whole person: their life history, their favourite foods, the music they love, the things that make them laugh. That knowledge shapes how we provide care every single day.
Individual Care Plans
Every resident has a detailed, regularly reviewed care plan co-created with them and their family.
Regular Reviews
Care plans are reviewed at least monthly, or more frequently if needs change.
